think is important for people to know, discuss, think or hear about.

readings, hand outs, and independent research. So basically this is an
persuasive essay about whether immigration is a benefit or burden. use
logic, facts, and emotions to convey your message. You can approach the
topic in such ways:
1) focus on immigration in historically in the U.S.
and your vision for the future.
2)compare issues regarding immigration
in the U.S. and another country.
3) be creative use other ways.

REQUIREMENTS for the essay:
1) Support your opinion throughout your
essay with logical reasoning, facts, emotions, examples, and evidence.

2) Develop each paragraph with a controlling idea, examples, and
supporting evidence.
3) Organize your essay and argument following a
logical order.
4) Summarize the arguments of the various sources you
use. connect these sources to your argument.

5) INCLUDE DIRECT QUOTES from the sources in your essay. You’ll need to
set the context for the source, introduce the source, quote, and then
comment on the significance of the source by comparing it to another
